The Ratification Meeting will happen on Tuesday May 10, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Croatian Cultural Centre, 3250 Commercial Drive.

6.12.4 The College will ensure that all members of the Union regardless of shift are able to attend ratification meetings, without loss of pay. The Union must give a minimum of 48 hours’ written notice to the Human Resources Department.
Written notice has been provided to HR. Should you encounter any difficulties in attending this meeting please contact a shop steward. Please bring identification in order to vote at the meeting. If you do not have ID another CUPE 4627 member will need to vouch for you.

0.45% Economic Stability Divided (ESD) increase effective August 1, 2016

Lowlights
Adverse material on personnel file for 24 months increased time period from 18 months.
Benefit deductible increased to $50 per year effective July 1, 2016, increased from $25 per year.
Salary Protected Employees may be appointed into vacant positions up to their protected pay rate.
Gratuity plan ends as of December 31, 2016. Gratuity days already accumulated stay in your gratuity bank and are accessible as before.

FAQ
When will we get the ratification of demands document?
Usually the document is presented at the meeting so that members attend the meeting, ask questions and vote. We will be distributing the document at least 24 hours prior to the meeting via the member portal and email.
I’m on vacation can I vote online or give a proxy to vote?
Sorry no. We have no such provisions for this type of voting to occur. Voting is done in person by secret ballot at the ratification meeting.
Do I have to make up the time to attend this union meeting?
No. This leave is done on college time as per 6.12.4 there is no need to make up the time taken to attend this meeting.
I work the evening shift do I return to work after the ratification meeting?
This leave is done on college time as per 6.12.4. This would depend on your shift and when the ratification meeting ends. Check with your supervisor for direction.
Do I need identification to vote?
Yes. Please bring identification to the ratification meeting.
